PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode for a microorganism fuel cell module having high energy recovery efficiency.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a negative electrode 1 for a microorganism fuel cell module which is used for the microorganism fuel cell module and capable of carrying microorganisms. The negative electrode 1 for the microorganism fuel cell module includes: a first main surface 1a which is the surface contacted with the microorganisms; and a second main surface 1b which is opposite to the first main surface 1a and is the surface on the side where a positive electrode is arranged. The first main surface has irregularities.
