PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve optimization of e.g. the amount of damping water and simplification and miniaturization of the configuration at the same time by providing a high-water-repellency part at both ends of a roll body without distributing e.g. excessive damping water on the roll.;SOLUTION: A roll member is used in e.g. a damping water feeder of an off-set printer, a roll coater or a rotary press. The roll body 2 has, at both ends, a high-water-repellency part 4 higher in water repellency than the roll central part 3 between both ends, and the contact angle, specified by JIS-K-3211:1990, in the high-water-repellency part 4 is larger than the contact angle, specified by JIS-K-3211:1990, in the roll central part 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
