PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device capable of letting a maintenance person accurately grasp occurrence of an intermittent fault.SOLUTION: A monitoring device 30 includes control means of receiving an individual fault alarm signal A indicative of a signal state in a fault occurrence state or restoration state according to occurrence of or recovery from a fault from a device 50 to be monitored, generating an intermittent fault alarm signal B entering an intermittent fault state indicative of occurrence of an intermittent fault to the device to be monitored or a non-intermittent fault state indicative of non-occurrence of an intermittent fault on the basis of the individual fault alarm signal A, and determining that an intermittent fault occurs when a predetermined first condition is met so as to set an intermittent fault state as the state of the intermittent fault alarm signal B.
