Acetoin producing cell and method for producing acetoin using the cell

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cells capable of producing acetoin efficiently and simply, and a method for producing acetoin by using such cells.SOLUTION: This acetoin-producing cell includes features in which the function of acetoin dehydrogenase is missed or decreased, and an enzyme group managing the syntheses of acetolactic acid from pyruvic acid and the acetoin from the acetolactic acid are constitutionally expressed. The acetoin-producing cell has features in which the functions of 3 kinds of proteins of acetoin dehydrogenase, phosphate acetyltransferase and lactic acid dehydrogenase are missed or decreased. The method for producing the acetoin by using these acetoin-producing cells is also provided.
