PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosynthesis branching system which effectively uses a light wavelength band and can be inexpensively configured and in which signal deterioration is moderate even when a cable disconnection failure occurs, and a photosynthesis branching method.;SOLUTION: A photosynthesis branching system comprises: branching means for branching optical multiplex signals in which a plurality of optical signals are multiplexed in a predetermined wavelength grid unit; an interleaver which is connected to one of the output sides branched by the branching means and demultiplexes the optical multiplex signals in a transparent period which is a multiple of the wavelength grid; blockers which are connected to each output of the interleaver and block an optical signal of the wavelength grid in which the optical signal to be added is disposed among the optical signals output from the interleaver by a control signal; first demultiplexing means for demultiplexing optical signals output from the blockers; and second demultiplexing means for demultiplexing the optical signals output from the first demultiplexing means with the optical signal to be added.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
