PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car sharing system which allows easy car sharing.SOLUTION: In a car sharing method for managing a vehicle corresponding to a reservation from a user belonging to a prescribed group, lending the vehicle to the user and receiving return, a time charge calculated corresponding to utilization time during which the vehicle is utilized and a distance charge calculated corresponding to a traveling distance for which the vehicle is utilized are calculated, and a utilization charge of the vehicle is managed by a basic charge for maintaining the vehicle, the time charge and the distance charge. In the management, the basic charge and the total amount of the time charges of the respective users are compared, and when the total amount exceeds the basic charge, the time charge of each user is recalculated so as not to exceed the basic charge, and the recalculated time charge and the distance charge are totaled and billed for each user. When the total amount does not exceed the basic charge, an amount for which a difference amount between the total amount and the basic charge is divided by the number of the users, and the time charge and the distance charge are totaled and billed for each user.
