PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for promoting proliferation of an epithelium cell, using a peptide which is included in a royal jelly-decomposed product and which has cell proliferation promoting activity, and to provide a proliferation promoting agent of the epithelium cell, which includes the peptide as an active ingredient.SOLUTION: One or more kinds of peptides is selected from a group composed of: a peptide formed of a specific amino acid sequence; another peptide formed of an another specific amino acid sequence; a peptide formed of an amino acid sequence of which the fourth Trp in the amino acid sequence of the "another specific amino acid sequence" is oxidation type; a peptide formed of still another specific amino acid sequence; and a peptide formed of an amino acid sequence, which is one of the amino acid sequences, and in which one to several amino acids are added to at least one of an N-terminal or a C-terminal thereof. In the method for promoting proliferation of the epithelium cell, the peptide is brought into contact with the epithelium cell.
