Mixed primer set and identification method for identifying a carcinogenic human papillomavirus genotypes

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide 13 kinds of primer sets for multiplex PCR to detect HPV participating in uterine cervical cancer and severe dysplasia, wherein 7 sets of the primer sets identify type 16, type 18, type 31, type 33, type 35, type 52 and type 58 genotypes participating in the uterine cervical cancer in Japan, and the other 6 sets collectively determine infection of type 39, type 45, type 51, type 56, type 59 and type 68; and to provide a specific, highly sensitive and low-cost detection method for everything by performing multiplex PCR with a single tube.SOLUTION: Primers are designed in a manner to give different length of amplicons among 7 kinds of HPV genotypes participating in the uterine cervical cancer in Japan, the other high-risk group A (types 45, 51, 68), and the other high-risk group B (types 39, 56, 59). Multiplex PCR is carried out by mixing all the primers and the product is separated and measured by electrophoresis to detect the HPV type of the specimen.
