In the present invention, there is disclosed an electrode system of ozone generator for increasing ozone concentration and other active oxygen particles produced by corona discharge in air or in oxygen, comprising at least one hollow needle electrode (1) or a solid needle electrode (10), which serves as a cathode, and a planar electrode (2), which serves as anode. The planar electrode (2) can be in the form of a grid or a lamina. A thin tube (4) made of dielectric material is inserted onto the needle electrode (1, 10) such that the end of the tube overlaps the needle electrode (1, 10) tip. The entire electrode system is arranged within a discharge chamber (3). Inlet of working gas into the discharge space can be made in three ways. In the first way, there is used the hollow needle electrode (1) and the working gas is supplied into the discharge through the interior thereof. In the second way, in which the solid needle electrode (10) is used, the working gas is supplied into the discharge through a narrow annular space produced between the solid needle electrode (10) and internal diameter of the thin tube (4). A mixture of air, ozone and other active particles produced in the discharge chamber (3) is removed through an outlet (6). In the third way, air is supplied into the discharge chamber (3) through an inlet (500) such as being passed through the discharge chamber (3) perpendicularly to the solid needle electrode (10) and the mixture of air, ozone and other active particles produced in the discharge chamber (3) being removed through an opposite outlet (600). The electrode system with each of the indicated way of supply of a working gas into the discharge space can be multiple-way repeated in both linear and planar arrangements.
