METHOD FOR DIAGNOSIS OF INFLAMMATORY PROCESS ACTIVITY IN INFANTS WITH PYELONEPHRITIS

A method for diagnosis of inflammatory process activity in infants with pyelonephritis involves biochemical study of blood serum. Procalcitonin level is determined in infants suffered from pyelonephritis, and if procalcitonin concentration value exceeds 0.05 ng/ml the inflammatory process in kidney parenchyma is diagnosed in children 1 month to 3 years old.
