A method for treating adolescents with diffuse nontoxic goiter, taking into account the forecast of its course, including the appointment of iodine-containing drugs. First, the patient is calculated prognosis of the disease course. In case of unfavorable variations and violation of concentration of trace elements and vitamins, additionally prescribe drugs zinc, selenium, vitamins A and C. Potassium iodide administered in age-therapeutic doses without interruption for at least 6 months, zinc supplements ( "Tsinkteral") at 124 mg twice day 2 months, selenium ( "Tsefasel") 100 mg once a day 2 months, vitamin a ( "Aevitum") 1 capsule every day 2 months, B vitamins ( "Neurovitan") 1 tablet twice a day 2 months.
