A scheduling system and a method for scheduling an underground mining operation

A scheduling system (1) and a method for an underground mining operation. The system comprises a primary scheduling unit (3) comprising first display unit (5) adapted to be arranged at a first location, a secondary scheduling unit (7) comprising a second display unit (9) adapted to be arranged at a second location, and a communication channel between the primary scheduling unit and the secondary scheduling unit. The primary scheduling unit comprises a logic unit (12) adapted to execute a software program (14) that is used by an operator in scheduling activities to create and modify a schedule for the mining operation. The software program of the primary scheduling unit is adapted to execute an algorithm based on the schedule for mining operation and the actual mining operation that determines and displays to the operator of the primary scheduling unit an estimation on times of expected high and low needs of scheduling activity.(Fig. 3)
