In an installation (1) for gasifying lumpy fuels with a pyrolysis reactor (2) and a gas engine (6), it is proposed that an exhaust gas output (65) of the gas engine (6) having an input (71) of a Nachverbrennungsbrennkammer (7 ) is connected, and that an exhaust gas output (75) of the Nachverbrennungsbrennkammer (7) with at least one fuel gas input (23) of the pyrolysis reactor (2) is connected.
