An isolated human monoclonal antibody to the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Receptor (TSHR) that is an antagonist of the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) and has a binding affinity for the full-length human TSHR of approximately 109 l / mol, in wherein the antibody comprises a 5 VH region comprising: SNYMS (CDR1); VTYSGGSTSYADSVKG (CDR2); and GGRYCSSISCYARSGCDY (CDR3), and a VL region comprising: RASQSISNYLN (CDR1); AASSLQS (CDR2); and QQSYSSPSTT (CDR3).
