Method to amplify the pentose phosphate pathway in yeast strains, yeasts obtained and their applications

Method for obtaining mutant strains of yeast that have an amplified PPV (pentose phosphate pathway), characterized in that it comprises the steps - of culturing the strains on a substrate based on a gluconic acid salt, - of adaptation during at least 10 generations, at an incubation temperature of 16ºC to 32ºC, preferably 28ºC, under shaking, - of selection of the adapted strains that have accumulated mutations that allow an amplification of the PPV, by growth test, on the cultures that they have an OD greater than at least 1.3 times that of the parental strain.
