The connection is produced by providing the thin walled body (10) with an n-layered fold (30) which is connected by material bonding with a thicker walled body (12) where the material bonding extends at most over n-1 folds. The material bonding can be produced by welding. Independent claim describes use in goods vehicle as connection between vertical assembly plate on vehicle side and a horizontal housing (10) of an exhaust silencer.
