In the present invention, for useful objects that are electronic devices or electronic device components containing specified reusable substances, a useful object library is prepared that has a data structure associating, for each useful object type, characteristic data that is used for computer object recognition and expresses the characteristics of a useful object and substance content data that expresses the types and quantities of specified substances included in the useful object. An electronic device analysis device determines the types and amounts of specified substances included in an object under analysis by comparing information obtained from the object under analysis and the characteristic data for each useful object in the useful object library, specifying what useful object the object under analysis corresponds to, and acquiring the substance content data for the corresponding useful object from the useful object library.
