The present invention relates to an insulation barrier joint structure of a tank for a liquid at low or high temperatures, such as a cargo hold in an LNG carrier and, more particularly, to an insulation barrier joint structure capable of improving fracture toughness of a joint member. The insulation barrier joint structure comprises: a face bar which is bonded on the surface of multiple insulation panels that are aligned at regular intervals; a strip which is placed on the face bar that is bonded on the surface of two adjacent insulation panels, in order to cover gaps between multiple insulation panels; and a joint member which is placed between the face bar and the strip in order to bond the face bar and the strip. The joint member includes a polymer adhesive, and a filament which is dispersed into the polymer adhesive. Therefore, the insulation barrier joint member is reinforced by the filament with high strength so that crack growth can be restricted and fracture toughness can be improved.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
