The present invention relates to a method for predicting a drug reaction of Meloxicam and, more specifically, to a method for predicting a drug reaction before taking Meloxicam by analyzing the genotype of the gene which codes Cytochrome P450 2C9 (CYP2C9 P450 2C9) which is a main metabolic enzyme of Meloxicam in order to relate to the side effects of Meloxicam for Koreans having a specific genotype (CYP2C9*1/*3 or CYP2C9*3/*3). The method of the present invention can calculate an optimal drug dose by genotype so that the side effects can be reduced and be utilized to suggest drug approval details which considers drug dosage according to genotypes.
