Various embodiments of the present invention relate to a user device. Particularly, the present invention relates to a user device for controlling a digitizer mode using an input unit and a method thereof. The various embodiments of the disclosed present invention may include the following processes: extracting an input unit by scanning the digitizer; measuring at least one parameter at a spot where the extracted input unit is placed; and controlling the conversion of a digitizer mode corresponding to the measurement result.
