摘要

It is known that a generator must to be controlled to keep output voltage constant. The responses of the generator control system vary in the peculiarities of each generator. The design of the control circuit for the generator has to match with the generator, in order to get most suitable response from the generator control system. The Analog AVR involves design changes when it's established, because it is impossible to design in consideration of the parameter beforehand. Using the Digital AVR, we can improve the system without changing existing design, due to setting the control rule and the parameters by software instead of hardware. The control circuit using the Digital AVR is adaptable to various generators. This paper presents the programmable Digital AVR using DSP for the engine driven generator. The Digital AVR is operated under PID control and fuzzy control. And a build-up test and a load test was carried out. A purpose of this paper is to make an evalution of control methods. In this paper, the high-efficiency digital AVR application for the engine driven generator was suggested, and a characteristic of each control mode was shown.
