Provided is a system for calculating quantity to manufacture a vessel comprising: a 3D design unit and a PLM unit. The 3D design unit stores information for a plurality of design components and calculates the quantity by modeling the information according to an assembly plan set by the design components. The PLM unit connects quantity information calculated for the design components and each material information of the design components from the 3D design unit and separates/stores the same for each design function. Provided is a method for calculating the quantity to manufacture the vessel. The present invention is provided to connect the quantity of a component, which is modeled by the assembly plan and is calculated, and a real component material code, thereby calculating weighing quantity for each design function.
