The present invention relates to a novel phenylthiazole-based hydroxamic acid compound and an anti-cancer composition comprising the same as an active ingredient. The hydroxamic acid compound has an activity of inhibiting histone deacetylase (HDAC) and shows anticancer effect by having cytotoxicity in various cancer cells, thereby being developed to an active ingredient of a strong anticancer medicine.
