The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition which includes zinc oxide nanoparticles an an active ingredient and is capable of inhibiting the pathogenicity of multidrug-resistant pathogenic bacteria. The zinc oxide nanoparticles enables the composition to suppress the biofilm formation of multidrug-resistant strains and production of virulence factors from the strains responsible for the pathogenicity. Accordingly, the present invention can effectively used for the prevention and treatment of the pathogenic bacteria resistant to multiple antibiotics.
