The present invention relates to a porous polymer particle, a manufacturing method thereof, and a biodegradable material for tissue engineering using the same. A surface of the particle of the present invention has a dense structure formed with nano-sized pores which has an average pore size of 1-100 nm. In addition, an inner part of the particle has a porous structure in a columnar shape having a bigger average pore size than the average pore size of the surface of the particle, and both the surface and the inner part of the particle have an asymmetrical structure. The porous polymer particles of the present invention can be manufactured by a very simple method without using toxic organic solvents, thereby having simple processes and effects of reducing manufacturing costs. Also, according to the present invention, it is possible to manufacture porous fine particles without a use of any additives for forming pores. and also possible to regulate size of the particles with ease, thereby being able to manufacture particles having various particle size distributions. Accordingly, the porous polymer particles according to the present invention can be applied to biodegradable materials for various tissue engineering based on the size of particles.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
