"PROCESS TO PREPARE A POROUS, BIODEGRADABLE AND BIOCOMPATIBLE POLYMERIC PLATFORM FOR FABRIC ENGINEERING, AND, POROUS POLYMERIC PLATFORM FOR FABRIC ENGINEERING" The present invention provides a process for preparing polymeric, biodegradable and biocompatible platforms, for bi-compatible, tri-dimensional, three-dimensional, bi-fabric platforms. , which comprises the steps of (i) dissolving a polymer in an organic solvent to prepare a polymeric solution, (ii) mixing an effervescent salt in the resulting polymeric solution to give a mixed polymer / salt / organic solvent gel; (iii) removing the organic solvent from the mixed polymer / salt / organic solvent gel; and (iv) effervescing the salt in the resulting polymer / salt gel to give a polymeric platform. The platform of this invention is so porous and interconnected between the pores in order to accommodate and grow cells isolated from the tissues to be cultured The process of the invention has several advantages of (i) easily forming a cell culture matrix in desirable forms with the gel and (ii) to control the pore size and porosity of the three-dimensional porous polymeric platforms, by controlling the quantity and size of the effervescent salts and the concentration of the acidic aqueous solutions with which the effervescence and the bleach of the salts are induced.
