The present invention relates to a method for restricting a ring and a compressive and torsional severe plastic processing method using the same to prevent the loss and fracture of materials by inhibiting the outward movement and tensile stress of the materials by restricting an edge of the materials with a ring through a method for restricting the ring, comprising: a step for forming a molded body; a step for restricting the outer circumference of the molded body using a ring; a step for applying compressive stress to the molded body restricted by the ring using a mold having upper and lower supports; and a step for applying a rotational force by rotating one or both sides of the upper and lower supports while the molded body is pressurized. According to the present invention, a microstructure of brittle materials can be controlled by a compressive and torsional process through a method for restricting a ring, although the brittle materials cannot be used in an existing compressive and torsional process.
