According to the present invention, an artificial bone containing macro -tricalcium phosphate (TPC) and rectangular nano -tricalcium phosphate (TPC) includes mesopores, mircopores, and macropores which are three-dimensionally mingled with each other. Therefore, the artificial bone has porosity similar with that of bone tissue of an organism, has substantially enhanced mechanical strength properties, is produced by a simple process, and thus can be produced in a massive amount. Moreover, the artificial bone can exhibit excellent bone regeneration properties when the artificial bone is transplanted into a body or used for osteosynthesis. A method for producing the artificial bone includes the steps of: 1) producing a molded product by mixing and compressing macro -TPC powder and nano -TPC powder; and 2) sintering the molded product.
