The present invention relates to an Internet auction system (1) which receives bidding information from a plurality of customer terminals (2) through a communication network (4) and mediates and manages purchases and sales of products. The system comprises: a product registration management module (11) which receives information on a product to be sold by auction from a seller terminal (3) and stores the information; a product bidding management module (13) which receives bidding information from the customer terminal (2) and stores the bidding information, wherein the bidding information includes bidding prices; and a preferential successful bidding management module (15) which enables a customer having the longest possession time among customers to be successful in bidding on the product. The preferential successful bidding management module (15) according to the present invention is a possession time calculation module (151) which calculates possession times for customer terminals, wherein the possession time is the time duration when the received bidding price maintains the highest bidding price.
