A method of two-wave luminescent spectral analysis is used to study histological sections of avian fore-stomach tissue coloured with specific luminescent stain labels, dichlor-symm-triazinylaminofluorescein-1 and ethidium bromide. That is combined with studying the histological sections of the fore-stomach tissue of healthy and analysed birds. An epithelial area of deep alveolar glands of the mucous membrane is localised on each histological section, and five segments with the greatest luminescence intensity are selected in the above area. A luminescence spectrum and an optical density spectrum of each segment is derived They are digitally processed: luminescence intensity is recorded in the luminescence spectrum at a wave length of 528 nm specific for proteins and at a wave length of 624 nm specific for nucleic acids.
