A construction unit (12) for an electric machine (10) is described, which comprises an annular laminated core (16) which is formed from a multiplicity of axially stacked laminations (17), the laminations (16) having an inner or outer cylindrical fixing portion (16c) on a cylindrical receiving portion (22a) of a support member (22) is fixed and wherein the support member (22) has two stops (22b, 22c), between which the laminated core (16) is clamped axially non-positively. It is proposed that at least one of the stops (22c) comprises an annular support element (24) which is arranged on the receiving portion (22a) and supports the laminated core (16) and which is secured to the carrier element (22) by means of at least one caulking region (26) ).
