The device i.e. sealing plug (10), has a main body (110) formed approximately in a shape of a cylinder with diameter. Multiple seal elements (120) project around a lateral wall of the cylinder so as to seal a free space formed between the main body and an inner wall of a pipe (9). The main body includes multiple fasteners to be assembled together to form the cylinder shape. Each fastener comprises a shape falling under a parallelepipedic volume that is defined by three orthogonal dimensions, where two of the dimensions have length lower than diameter of a cylinder shape of the main body.
