The invention relates to a system which is intended for securing a washing machine (10) during transportation and by means of which a vibration system (2) which is present in relation to a housing (1) of the washing machine is arrested during transportation of the washing machine, wherein an elastic sleeve (11) connects the vibration system (2), by way of its outer container (5), to a front wall (14) of the housing (1), wherein the sleeve (11) also encloses an opening periphery (9) in the front wall (14) and makes it possible for a loading door (12) to be sealed in its closed state, provision being made for at least one transportation securing element (25, 27, 29) to be introduced, with guidance through the sleeve (11), such that it is supported, on the one hand, on the opening periphery (9) and/or a region (13) of the loading door (12) within the opening periphery (9) and, on the other hand, on a sub-region of the vibration system (2), wherein in order to arrest the vibration system (2) in relation to the housing (1), the container (5) has a number of first form-fitting formations (16) and the inside of a wall of the housing (1) has an identical number of second form-fitting formations (17), wherein the first form-fitting formations (16) and the second form-fitting formations (17) render possible a form fit between the vibration system (2) and the housing (1) of the washing machine when the transportation securing element (25, 27, 29), with guidance through the sleeve (11), provides for the support between the housing (1) and the vibration system (2) as intended.
