PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader writer capable of preventing communication interference under circumstances in which IC cards for a traffic system are used in parallel.SOLUTION: The reader writer includes: an imaging unit; a communication section; and a timing control unit. The imaging unit takes an image of a ticket. The communication section performs a communication with a radio communication section included in the ticket using a communication bandwidth different from that of the IC cards for the traffic system. The timing control unit controls the imaging unit and the communication section to synchronously carry out the imaging operation and the communication operation. The reader writer outputs a data based on the image taken by the imaging unit and a piece of information obtained by the communication section to another unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
