PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information management apparatus or the like, configured to manage a software identification tag properly.SOLUTION: An information management apparatus 101 includes: an identification information section 103 which stores an identifier indicating a virtual machine 104 on a storage section 107, in starting a virtual machine 104 including the storage section 107; and a creation section 102 which reads the identifier from the storage section 107, while the virtual machine 104 is in operation, creates installation machine information indicating that software stored in the virtual machine 104 has been installed on the virtual machine 104 indicated by the read identifier, and stores the created installation machine information in a storage area in the storage section 107 where software identification tag information is stored.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
