PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting method of mounting a commercial on-vehicle camera to a vehicle body without requiring troublesome wiring work, and an on-vehicle side camera that is suitable for using the same method.;SOLUTION: When mounting an on-vehicle side camera 10 to a vehicle body, wiring is inserted into a gap between a door 21 and a door opening and drawn into a vehicle. Thus, it is possible to omit troublesome work such as performing wiring to a stay of a side mirror 24 and an internal space of the door 21. Since the on-vehicle side camera 10 is fixed by a double-sided adhesive tape, there is no need to perform processing such as forming a screw hole to mount the on-vehicle side camera 10 to the vehicle body. By fixing the on-vehicle side camera 10 to the vehicle body in the vicinity of the gap, the length of the wiring exposed to the outside of the vehicle body can be shortened, and the external appearance is not impaired by the wiring. Since a door grommet is made of a soft plastic, and a small hole can be formed easily thereon, the wiring of the on-vehicle side camera 10 fixed to the side surface of the vehicle body can be inserted into the door grommet through the small hole and drawn into the vehicle.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
