PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that enables abnormality to be highly accurately diagnosed in a device diagnosing a moving linear motion mechanism with a movement body being guided by a linear shank.;SOLUTION: A device diagnosing a linear motion mechanism is configured to comprise: an AE wave detection unit that detects an AE wave at least at acceleration or deceleration of a movement body; and a diagnosis unit that diagnoses abnormality of an acceleration or deceleration area in a shank on the basis of a detection result by the AE wave detection unit. When a fall in lubricity of a lubricant agent and the like induce occurrence of the abnormality, the AE wave at the acceleration or deceleration occurs to thereby perform a diagnosis based on the AE wave, which in turn accuracy of the diagnosis can be enhanced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
