PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a metal base material with a foundation layer for a multilayer bearing, a method of manufacturing a multilayer bearing, a metal base material with a foundation layer for a multilayer bearing, and a multilayer bearing effective for improving durability under a corrosive environment.;SOLUTION: A multilayer bearing 10A comprises: a metal base material; a foundation layer 14 provided on the metal base material; and a resin layer 16 provided on the foundation layer 14. The metal base material is a stainless steel plate 12. The foundation layer 14 is configured to laminate nickel-phosphorus alloy powder 20 on the stainless steel plate 12. This foundation layer 14 is formed by spraying the nickel-phosphorus alloy powder 20 onto the stainless steel plate 12, heating the stainless steel plate 12 and the powder 20 at an intermediate temperature between a solid-phase temperature and a liquid-phase temperature of nickel-phosphorus alloy under a non-oxidizing atmosphere, and cooling the stainless steel plate 12 and the powder 20 slowly after being heated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
