PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod body for an ordinary jointed fishing rod that facilitates manufacturing and also enables the accuracy of the jointed portion to be easily secured, and to provide the ordinary jointed fishing rod.SOLUTION: A rod body for an ordinary jointed fishing rod is formed in a tubular shape and has the rear end of a rod tip side of the rod body 1 jointed to the inside of the front end thereof. The rod body includes: an inversely tapered jointing inner circumferential surface 20 positioned in the front end and having an outer circumferential surface of the rear end of a rod tip side rod body 1 abutted therewith, and increasing the diameter toward the front side; and a forward tapered main inner circumferential surface 21 positioned in the rear side of the jointing inner circumferential surface 20, and having a straight shape substantially constant in diameter or increasing the diameter toward the rear side. The jointing inner circumferential surface 20 has a forming surface formed of molding, and a stepped part 22 with the rear side inner diameter increased more than the front side inner diameter is formed between the jointing inner circumferential surface 20 and the main inner circumferential surface 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
