To provide a rod body in which fracture at a joint portion is restricted.SOLUTION: A fishing rod comprises: a hollow rod body extending from one end to the other end along a center axis X; and a shaft member having an outer peripheral surface inclined at a first angle θ1 with respect to the center axis X and being inserted into the rod body from the one end. An inner peripheral surface of the rod body comprises: a first surface extending while being inclined at an angle larger than a first angle θ1 with respect to the center axis X from the one end to a first position P1 in an axial direction; a second surface extending from the first position P1 to a second position P2 which is closer to the other end side than the first position P1; and a third surface extending from the second position P2 to a third position P3 which is closer to the other end side than the second position P2 in parallel with or substantially in parallel with the center axis X. The second surface comprises: an inclined part which is continuous from the first surface and is inclined at an angle larger than the first angle θ1 with respect to the center axis; and a non-inclined part 22 which is continuous from the third surface and extends in parallel with or substantially in parallel with the center axis X.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
