PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring camera system and a monitoring method in a monitoring camera system that suppress storage of video data which are not required by a user when video data transmitted from a camera are stored.;SOLUTION: When a human detection sensor 40B detects an intruder, sensor detection information is transmitted to a master unit 10. The master unit 10 starts a recording operation of storing video data and audio data transmitted from a monitoring camera 30B into an image memory 116 according to sensor detection information transmitted from the human sensor 40B. When an image check icon 71 of a smart phone 50 is tapped, the master unit 10 transmits the video data and the audio data transmitted from the monitoring camera 30B to the smart phone 50. Under the state that the video data transmitted from the monitoring camera 30B are displayed on a touch panel 503, the smart phone 50 transmits a request signal for ceasing the recording operation to the master unit when accepting a tap operation of a recording ceasing icon 68.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
