PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a columnar structure that may be constructed readily, and a construction method for the columnar structure.;SOLUTION: A columnar structure of the present invention is a columnar structure 1 having an axial line located on a reference axis O extending in a vertical direction, and includes an outer cylinder 2 and a filler 4 filled in the outer cylinder 2. The outer cylinder 2 is divided into a plurality of segments 20 in a peripheral direction around the reference axis O, and the outer cylinder 2 has a connecting part 5 disposed for connecting edges that face each other of the plurality of segments 20 that are adjacent in the peripheral direction.
