An elastic padding rail fastening, whereby on a wooden cross-tie (2) is mounted a cast-iron pad (3). It has openings and supporting cones (8) on the lower side, which lie in grooves made in the cross-tie (2). Steel coach screws (5) pass through the openings, screwed in plastic dowels (6) mounted in the cross-tie (2), which together with elastic clamps (7) press the rail (1). The cast-iron pad (3) has two hard ribs (10 and 11), whereby there are slots in the outer rib (10), in which are mounted screw or disc or profile springs (9), pressing the rail foot (1) to the rib (11). A strictly defined slit "a" is formed. Upon movement of the rolling stock in a curve, the transverse horizontal forces compress the springs (9) and the foot (1) touches the hard support (10).
