Solid culture medium composition, a process for preparing the same and a process for identifying yeast lines in said medium. The present invention relates to a solid culture medium composition containing specific dyes which enable the identification of starters during the wine fermentation process based on the difference between the coloration of yeast colonies. The culture medium proposed in the present invention allows to identify differences between colony staining of starter inocula. As distinct yeasts (genera and species) present different stains in the proposed medium, this technique can be applied to detect both the presence and the proportion of different yeasts inoculated during the fermentation process.
