REDUCTION OF CYCLE TIME BY INTRODUCTION OF PILOT HOLES FOR LCA TEJAS A/C DETAIL COMPONENTS

The detail components required for LCA A/c were being fabricated without any pilot holes for its fastening. The positions of pilot holes details were not called on its drawings. The same were called only on its next assembly drawing. This le ads to more assembly cycle time for its build up and increase of rework. Provision of pilot holes on detail components will reduce assembly buildu p cycle time and . rework. Hence pilot holes on detail components to be made during fabrication stage itself.
