Apart from normal wear of the refractory material in Kiln linning, there is the possibility of one or more bricks could fall out of the insulation layer. This causes the shell to be directly exposed to the heat, consequent of which " RedSpot / hot spots" are developed that can seriously damage or destroy the shell. Running the kiln with thermal shock spots on the shell aggravate the shell corrosion & can cause structural deformation. Towards combating such shell corrosion & deformation the novel improved water base ceramic coatings that resist temperatures of inner shell wall up to 600*C during normal operations and upto 1450*C when directly exposed to flames in the course of bricks having collapsed or fallen providing temporary protection shield towards development of Red / hot spot on kiln shell walls till the kiln is stopped for repairs & relining of bricks. The coating can be applied with brush, roller or spray. The coating permeability is under 0.01% and It also resists both diluted and concentrate acids, bases and aggressive chemical corrosion attacks.
