This device (1) for manufacturing solidified slag has a plurality of metallic molds (5) each having a recess (5a) into which molten slag (3) is poured and manufactures solidified slag (18) by solidifying the molten slag (3) that has been poured into the recesses (5a). The device (1) is provided with a circulating mechanism (7) that causes the plurality of metallic molds (5) to circulate horizontally in a state in which the plurality of metallic molds (5) are brought close together and supported. The circulating mechanism (7) is provided with the following in order in the circulation direction: an air cooled movement portion (9) that moves the metallic molds (5) in which the molten slag (3) has been poured into and retained in the recesses (5a) in the direction of circulation and subjects the molten slag (3) held in the recesses (5a) to air cooling solidifying the molten slag (3); an inverting discharge portion (11) that inverts the metallic molds (5) so that the recesses (5a) face downwards and discharges solidified slag (18); an inverted movement portion (13) that moves the inverted metallic molds (5) in the inverted state; and a reinverting portion (15) that reinverts the inverted metallic molds (5) so that the recesses (5a) face upwards.
