The lubrication injector comprises a housing (14) and a translating metering body (16) axially moveable with respect to said housing and provided with a lubricant supply channel (36a). The injector further comprises at leas t one translating intermediate piston (20) radially interposed between the metering body (16) and the housing (14) and axially moveable with respect to said housing, sa id intermediate piston (20) carrying the metering body (16). The intermediate piston (20) is mounted slidable axially on the metering body (16). The intermediate piston (20) and the metering body (16) delimit at least partly a metering chamber (48) for a lubricant in communication with the supply channel (36a) of said metering body.
