NOVEL CATALYST AND PROCESS FOR SYNTHESIS OF 2,6-DIMETHYL NAPHTHALENE

摘要

The present invention relates to a catalytic shape selective process for the preparation of 2,6-dimethyl naphthalenes in vapour phase. The catalyst is a metal modified large pore zeolite catalyst for vapour phase reaction of metliylalion of naphthalene. The process is economically viable because regenerated catalyst gives the sameperformance as fresh catalyst.
