The present invention provides a method an apparatus and a mobile phone for calculating an amount of motion. The method comprises: obtaining information related to a road condition; determining according to the obtained information related to the road condition a first correction parameter corresponding to the information related to the road condition; obtaining motion displacement of a user; and determining an amount of motion of the user according to the motion displacement and the first correction parameter. By using the technical solutions provided by the present invention information related to a road condition is obtained by using a sensor so that an amount of motion of a user can be calculated in combination with the road condition.
